Get to know the person behind the jewellery and care
A piercing appointment is more than just the piercing itself — it’s about trust, comfort, and feeling safe in the hands of the person looking after you.
We’d love to introduce you to Megan, her story, and the passion she brings to every appointment.
How it all began
Like a lot of people, my first introduction to the world of body piercing started in a slightly unexpected place: old back issues of National Geographic in my high school art room that were meant to be used for collage.
Instead, I used to “borrow” the ones with pictures of piercings and put them up in my bedroom.
From there, I found the early body modification blogs and communities online, and my interest only grew from there.
Jewellery and gemstones
At the moment, I’m absolutely loving navel jewellery in all its forms: charms, chains, colours. There really is something for every body and every lifestyle.
My current favourite gemstone is moss agate. It always feels like a tiny little forest world captured inside a stone.
The piercings that mean the most to me
My nostril piercing has probably been with me through more versions of myself than anything else.
It was pierced in a market in Glasgow when I was 14, and it’s stayed with me ever since. It still sometimes wears the first ever “nice” piece of jewellery I bought for myself: a yellow gold Anatometal Zia with Tiger’s Eye.
There’s something really special about having a piece that carries so much of your own story.
Outside the studio
Outside the studio, I’m a huge history nerd and absolutely love beach-combing and mud-larking.
There’s something so exciting about uncovering old jars and objects and imagining the stories behind them.
If I ever retired and started a completely new career, I’d probably train as a creative pastry chef and spend my days making beautifully over-the-top cakes.
